New 2014 Pioneer CD Receivers in August DEH-X1650UB DEH-X2650UI DEH-X3650UI DEH-X6650BT

Boasting compatibility with major smartphone models running on the latest Apple iOS and Google Android operating systems, Pioneer has improved Bluetooth pairing and cable connectivity that builds on Pioneer’s expertise in the market for in-car entertainment, as well as aesthetic customisation options on the new 1-DIN receivers.

Let’s break down the new features: Firstly, App Source. Previously known as App Mode, Pioneer has support for smartphones on the Android platform and the latest iPhone models and operating systems (including iPhone5 and iOS6). Users can control compatible third-party smartphone music applications right from the dashboard. Android smartphone users can now enjoy direct access to their smartphone’s library of music and compatible music-streaming applications through Bluetooth. While all four new CD receivers work with App Source for Android, iPhone users will limited to the DEH-X6650BT, DEH-X3650UI and DEH-X2650UI.

And for another that will get the Android camp cheering, Android USB Direct Control : The convenient plug-and-play feature Android phones installed with operating system 4.0 and later can now connect to the CD receivers via the USB terminal to play and control music while the phone charges.

MIXTRAX, Pioneer’s proprietary virtual DJ technology, is now incorporated into all 2014 CD receivers. Creating a unique nonstop listening experience by seamlessly transitioning between songs with DJ-inspired effects such as cross-fading, high-pass filter, and phaser. Advanced users can further customise their experience by selecting the types of transitions between songs, as well as the duration each song is played before transitioning to the next track.

With a 12 X 1 display, this affordable upgrade will play MP3, WMA and WAV files off CDs, memory drives connected through the front USB port, or through your choice of player though the AUX input. There is 1 preout, and Advanced Sound Retriever for enhanced audio quality. This receiver is also compatible with App Source for Android. Power: 50W x 4, 

DEH-X2650UI

Like the DEH-1650UB, the DEH-X2650UI plays MP3, WMA and WAV, has CD, USB and AUX inputs, as well as Advanced Sound Retriever for crystal clear audio. The difference is, it has 2 preouts, and boasts support for App Source on iPhone and Android-powered smartphones. Power: 50W x 4

With a bigger display (13 x 1), the DEH-X3650UI  adds 210,000 possible colours for each separate segment of the display. Different illumination effects on the display, changes when the unit is powered on, when a CD is loading or ejecting, or flashing with the beats on MixTrax. One can adjust the brightness setting of the display as well. Plays MP3, WMA, WAV from CDs, USB memory and AUX devices. Power: 50W x 4

DEH-X6650BT

Packed to the brim with same features as the DEH-X3650UI, this receiver adds the wireless Bluetooth experience with a new auto-pairing feature. It also features Guest Mode, which  enables users to pair new devices to the unit easily. Plays MP3, WMA, WAV from CDs, USB memory and AUX devices. Power: 50W x 4

These CD receivers will be available from August 2013.
